In January, we take time to celebrate the life and legacy of Martin Luther King, Jr by completing creative and thought-provoking projects that highlight his message of equality, justice and nonviolence.
Students at Martin Road Elementary School have engaged in a wide range of activities. Many projects focused on Dr. King’s famous “I Have a Dream” speech, inspiring students to reflect on their own dreams for a better world. Mrs. Oaks and her students sang songs and watched videos about MLK.
The students used their AAC devices to connect with MLK and wrote about the dreams they have for their future.
