Students work in building trades program demonstration

On Thursday Jan. 23, our Lackawanna Middle School students took a trip to Erie 1 BOCES' Potter Career and Technical Center for their Taste of Tech event. Students were able to choose 3 different CTE (Career and Technical Education) high school programs to visit where they learned about the program and were able to participate in engaging hands-on activities.

This event proved to be a great opportunity for students to explore their passions and possible career paths in the following: Animal Science, Auto Tech, Baking and Pastry, Building Trades, Cosmetology, Criminal Justice, Culinary Arts, Early Childhood Education, Electrical Systems, Exercise Science, Fashion Design Technology, Health Careers, HVAC and Welding.

Thanks you to Erie 1 BOCES and the Potter Career and Technical Center for this a great experience!
