Olaf (from the Disney movie Frozen) showed up at the Lackawanna Middle School for the December PBIS drawing and prize delivery! Each month, students had the chance to earn tickets for displaying positive behavior and could use these tickets towards events or raffles.
A huge thank you to Mr. Glen and the Lackawanna Education Extra Curricular Foundation (LEAF) for the bowling donation.
Other prizes raffled off were Ping Pong with Mr. Peters and a Grogu toy, snack and chat with Mrs. Burke, shoot hoops with a teacher of choice, Caldwell Cookies, stuffed animal gift bag from Mrs. Monaco, bake cookies to take home from Mrs. Prell, lunch with Mrs. Clark, pizza party with Mr. Rodney, basketball with Mr. Fish, have lunch and play a board game with Mrs. Gorczyca, Ultimate Mum-ball with Mr. Merrifield, make an afternoon snack with Mrs. Stalnecker, lunch bunch with Mrs. Ventura, work at the holiday sale with Mrs. Zahn, a shopping trip to the holiday sale with Mr. Stach and a walk to Abbott Lanes for bowling!
For 2024, the middle school is moving to an online PBIS Rewards point program, which allows staff to continuously recognize students for meeting behavior expectations from anywhere in the school, not just the classroom. This new program includes new interactive features and a reward store too that students are sure to love!
