Students smile for a photo in class.

Our High School African American Literature class is on fire with powerful discussions facilitated by Mr. Staniszewski! This week, students dived deep into a poignant vignette by Alice Walker and a moving poem by Gwendolyn Brooks. Through reading, analyzing and heartfelt discussions, they uncovered the beauty, strength and resilience in these works.

And that's not all—this class takes you on an incredible journey through the voices of Malcolm X, Maya Angelou and other groundbreaking African American writers who have shaped history and continue to inspire today.

If you’re ready to explore literature that challenges, moves, and empowers you, this is the class for YOU!
