The LMS Student Council recently hosted a heartwarming shopping experience, made even more special by the presence of a beloved furry friend, Sandy. Students in grades 6-8 had the chance to browse for free clothing and essential items after signing up through an online survey.
Originally featured on Channel 4 in 2019, the LMS free clothing closet continues to thrive, thanks to generous donations from Lackawanna teachers and staff. In addition to clothing, students could access hygiene products and a creative bead-making station—organized by the life skills class—offered a fun way to personalize jewelry.
For those who missed the event, individual shopping trips can be scheduled. Contact Mrs. Zahn for more information.
A special thank you goes out to the SPCA's PAWS FOR LOVE program, which brought Sandy the dog to the event, spreading joy and comfort to students. This incredible program continues to make a difference across Erie County, one wagging tail at a time!
