The fifth graders in Miss Saleh's class at Martin Road Elementary recently explored early western civilizations by researching different tribes. In small groups, they studied the tribes' locations, languages, customs, beliefs and social structures with each group creating a presentation with maps, visuals and explanations of how their tribe lived and thrived.

The project helped students develop critical thinking and public speaking skills. Miss Saleh was impressed by her students' creativity and enthusiasm. This hands-on project emphasized the importance of understanding diverse cultures and their impact on today's world.
