Eight girls from Martin Road Elementary, coached by Mrs. Hamilton and Mrs. Knavel, participated in the Girls on the Run program. The program's goal is to inspire girls to be confident, healthy, joyful and to create a world where they can pursue their dreams.
In each session, the girls participated in social-emotional activities and challenged themselves physically to be their very best. On June 2, the team pushed themselves one final time by racing in a 5K held at the University of Buffalo.
