LCSD is excited to share our Black History Month Display case with you all! It's filled with books that celebrate Black history, and it's been drawing in students to check it out. Huge shoutout to Mrs. Grimm, our amazing librarian, for putting it together.
Throughout February, our high schoolers are diving into books by African American authors and learning about the importance of Black History Month. At the end of the month, they'll be sharing what they've learned with the elementary students and reading them a special story.
Our school is all about embracing diversity, and we believe it's crucial to get our students involved in passing on the significance of Black History Month to the next generation.
Stay tuned for more cool events as we celebrate Black history all month long!
