Students line up to get food at the ENL Picnic

On Thursday, June 8, the Lackawanna City School District held their first annual ENL End of the Year Celebration Picnic. (Due the air quality warning, we had to move our picnic inside).  Families from all 4 schools brought a multicultural dish to share and were treated to a light dinner, refreshments, music, and books. One of our former graduates, Nora Berman, even provided her artistic henna talent for our families.

Thank you to all who attended as well as our entire ENL Department, Assistant Superintendent Nadia Nashir, and guest Principals Jennifer English and Moustafa Khalil for all of your help and support! A special thank you to Paul Cutrona and his staff from Personal Touch Food Service for all the delicious food, Mrs. Jen Willat's class for the wonderful cookies, and the Lackawanna Maintenance Staff for being flexible with our last-minute location change!
