The Lackawanna City School District is excited to safely welcome students back for the 2021-22 school year. Our district will continue to prioritize the health and safety of our students, families, faculty and staff while offering in-person instruction five days a week.

We will be abiding by the school reopening guidance released by the Erie County Department of Health (ECDOH) on Aug. 23, 2021. You can read a summary of the guidance document here. Highlights of the plan include requiring masks indoors, strongly encouraging masks outdoors, social distancing wherever possible and screening all visitors with temperature checks, among other preventative and mitigating measures. (PLEASE NOTE: As of Sept. 27, 2021, ECDOH has adopted the New York State DOH guidance and related determination for all Erie County school districts.)

We appreciate the community's support of its schools during this challenging time. If you have individual questions, please reach out to your building principal.
