First Annual Alumni Day at LHS

On Thursday, January 5, 2017, the LHS Guidance Office hosted our first Alumni Day Program at LHS. The class of 2016 LHS seniors came in to speak with current junior and senior classes about college life and their experiences after their first semester. This program sparked some good conversation about responsibilities of high school students, pitfalls to avoid and things to prioritize when preparing for life after high school. The panel speakers were gracious enough to share their stories and experiences with our current students in hopes to better prepare them mentally for college life and things they “would have” done differently if they could redo their senior year.

A thank you goes out to all the LHS staff that made this happen and chipped in to provide a luncheon prepared by Mrs. Willats and her students for our Alumni. A special thank you goes out all the alumni who came in and shared their stories: Arianna Delmont (Pace University – Manhattan), KeJuan Harmon (Canisius College), Sarah Bialek (SUNY Cortland), Kaylee Baldelli (Medaille College), Ali Shawish (Daemen College), Bridget Wittmer (St. John Fisher College), Jamal Cooley (SUNY Buffalo State), Samia Albakri (ECC), and Jordan Rickard-Bisha (Medaille College).
