Greetings Lackawanna Parents,

Lackawanna High School is thrilled to share an exciting opportunity with you and your 8th grade student about an innovative program that bridges the gap between high school, college, and careers in the health occupations industry.

Pathways in Technology Early College High School Health Occupation Pathways to Employment (P-TECH HOPE) is a new and very different type of program that brings together the best elements of high school, college, and the world of work. P-TECH HOPE will enable Lackawanna students to begin their college and professional lives more quickly and with more support than the typical school-to-work pathway. Students in the P-TECH HOPE program will have the opportunity to graduate with an associate degree from Trocaire College AT NO COST to you. P-TECH HOPE students will also have the skills and knowledge they need to continue their studies or step seamlessly into a well-paying, high demand career in the health occupations industry.

P-TECH HOPE will begin in September for 9th grade students who qualify for enrollment. A hallmark of P-TECH HOPE will be its dynamic curriculum and additional opportunities that include a mentoring program, work-based learning, and internships with companies like Catholic Health. Our school will provide students with the rigorous, individualized instruction that will enable them to master the skills and knowledge that they need to graduate with an associate degree in the health occupations industry or to complete their studies in a four-year college.

We would love to meet you in person to share more information about our program. There will be an Information Night on Wednesday, March 28, 2018 from 5 to 6:30 p.m. in the Lackawanna High School library. Please feel free to pass this information along to any 8th grade students or families that may be interested in attending. We look forward to seeing you there!
